Newborn & Mom Assist Program

Congratulations on your new arrival! Bringing your bundle of joy home for the first time is a wonderful occasion, but if you don’t have enough time or support to keep up with your daily responsibilities, life can also become very stressful. That’s when our Newborn & Mom Assist Program can really make a difference.

Numerous studies have shown that new moms who get support in their home have a lower rate of postpartum depression and a higher rate of success with breast feeding than moms who go it alone.

Our Newborn Home Care Team offers a variety of services to help make your life easier as you welcome your little one into the world. And if Dad is taking a brief leave to help with the baby, he can return to work knowing you’ll have the support that you need.

Our skilled nursing staff of RNs and LPNs can:

  • Care for baby while you’re resting
  • Organize baby’s nursery
  • Spend the night so you can sleep without interruption
  • Provide advice and tips on breastfeeding
         and newborn care
  • Help organize your day

If you need help with your household chores or keeping up with your other children’s busy lives as you care for your newborn, consider the services available from our trained Home Health Aides and Homemakers/ Companions/Sitters.

Services include:
  • Help with baby’s brothers and sisters
  • Light housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Meal preparation
  • Grocery shopping and errands

For new parents without family support close by, Help at Home is happy to be your extended family, offering trusted, experienced, and caring help.

Sick Child Care

In the middle of your working day, you receive a call -- your child has become ill at school or daycare and needs to

come home. What do you do? Call Help at Home. We can assist parents in emergency situations where missing work is not an option, providing home health aides who will stay with your child until you can return home. For long term situations with sick or injured children, our trained home health professionals can prepare meals, remind your child or loved one to take their medicine and keep you informed throughout the day. That’s real peace of mind for you.

Well Child Care

As a working parent, the quality of care that your child receives while you’re away for the day (or night) is paramount to the health and happiness of the entire family. Perhaps daycare or after-school care is not your preference for your children. Help at Home offers the services of home health aides for infants and toddlers who need hands-on care and highly trained homemakers/companions/sitters for older children who can care for your little loved ones in the comfort of your own home.

Whether you need our services for an evening out or on a regular basis, you can depend on the professionals from Help at Home to provide quality care with tenderness and respect.
