As President and Chief Financial Officer, Tim Beach brings extensive business experience in the medical services industry to Help at Home. The University of South Florida graduate developed a broad medical marketing practice in durable medical equipment, creating and operating several successful companies. He founded Doctors Choice Homecare in 2007 with Stu Christensen; this Medicare-accredited agency has become a leader in home care on the West Coast of Florida. Tim and Stu joined together to start Help at Home in 2009, offering private home health care services to the Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, Lee and Collier County areas. Their partnership was founded with the intention of establishing a quality alternative for families seeking the highest standard of home health care and personal accommodation services.
Tim lives in Sarasota with his wife and three children.
Stu Christensen is Help at Home’s Founding Partner and CEO. Stu is a graduate of Riverview High and Florida State University, and after several years in medical surgery sales returned to Sarasota to develop the West Coast territory. He and Tim Beach began a successful partnership beginning with the founding of Alliance Oxygen & Medical Equipment, Inc. — a business that grew into a large regional company and subsequently sold to a Michigan interest. Stu and Tim founded Doctors Choice Homecare in 2007; this Medicare Certified agency has become a leader in quality home care on the West Coast of Florida. The partners joined together to start Help at Home in 2009, offering private home health care services to the Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, Lee and Collier County areas. Gail Carboy has over 25 years of experience in health care administration, with 20 years dedicated to clinical and financial oversight of various home health organizations, including Medicare, hospice and private operations. After beginning her career as an RN in the hospital setting Gail continued her career with home health care in Sarasota. Gail served as Vice President of Operations for a multi-site, multi-state home health agency prior to leading Help At Home’s private initiative.
Gail received her Bachelor of Science from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT and continued on with a Nursing Degree from Bridgeport School of Nursing in Bridgeport, CT. Her educational background, years of broad-based home care leadership with emphasis on continual improvement and customer service qualifies her to lead Help At Home Homecare in becoming an exceptional provider of private home care services in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, Lee and Collier Counties.
Gail lives in Sarasota with her husband, has three grown children and one grandson.
Pam Overton, RN, NHA has spent her entire professional career of 30+ years in long term care nursing. As a young candy striper volunteering in a hospital in her hometown of Evansville, Indiana, she discovered that working with the elderly was her life’s calling. Pam graduated from The University of Evansville School of Nursing and began her career in long term care.
Pam has been the Director of Nursing of both a 120 bed and a 240 bed skilled care facilities in Florida, and a Regional Health Care Specialist for a national assisted living organization responsible for the care delivery of twenty-five facilities in all of south Florida. She also became of one of the area’s first original geriatric care managers through her own entrepreneurial pursuit in the creation of “Pamela Overton and Associates, Elder Care Management” for 10 years. During that time she also owned and operated a small Assisted Living Facility known as “The Seaview Inn”.
Prior to joining Help at Home’s team Pam had been the Director of Health Services at The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch. Her responsibilities included oversight of the Assisted Living Facility, the Skilled Nursing and Rehab Facility and the employee and member Wellness Center. She led Glenridge through a successful expansion of the skilled nursing facility last year.
Pam has a special interest in field of dementia care and has attended numerous training sessions with nationally known dementia trainer Teepa Snow.
In her role as Geriatric Care Manager, Pam’s goal is to help seniors have the best quality of life possible while maintaining independence for as long as possible. Her mission is to ensure that through personalized service, each client is loved, cared for and treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. Her extensive knowledge of the long term care environment is invaluable in her role as geriatric care manager.
Pam spends time with her husband of 41 years on the beach and rooting for the Rays and the Gators. Her free time finds her relaxing with her two dogs, or traveling, which often includes visits to Atlanta to visit her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter.
As Business Development Liaison, Danielle acts as the key point of connection between the community and Help at Home Homecare. Danielle was born and raised in Sarasota and began her career in healthcare 15 years ago. With all her work being local, she has years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings. She has always found the relationship building between herself, the clients, and the community to be the most important and rewarding part of her career. Danielle is highly respected within the healthcare industry and looks forward to many continued years of helping the community know what options are available to them.
Danielle graduated from the University of South Florida and loves spending time with her husband and 6 dogs.
