November is a time of celebration and expressing our gratitude for the things that we have and the people that we share them with. But there are those who aren’t able to express themselves in such a manner, as well as not being able to enjoy the holidays as they once did. We are referring to those who are struggling with Alzheimer’s Disease, and we are speaking to those who care about them or have been tasked with caring for them.
November is also the national awareness month for this disease, and we at Help at Home Homecare just wanted to remind everyone that for some of our elderly and aging family members and friends, there are more things to worry about than turkey dinners and holiday travel. Here are just a few things that you can do this month to not only remember those who are suffering from this debilitating condition, but also to help:
- Go On a Memory Walk
- Get a Screening
- Donate Money or Time
While these things might not seem like much at first, if we got just 10% of the people who have been affected by this disease to become involved, it would make an unimaginable difference in the lives of those who are battling it every day.
So, if you want to learn more about Alzheimer’s Disease and what you can do to help a loved one who may be struggling with it, give Help at Home Homecare in Florida a call. We believe that your family member or friend deserves the same care and compassion as anyone else who is struggling with any other medical condition, and we will make sure that they receive it.[contact-form-7 id=”165″ title=”Contact Us Form”]
